I read an article that links Alli to
pre-cancerous lesions in the colons of mice.
According to Dr. Sidney M. Wolfe, director of Public
Citizen's Health Research Group, "while it is not
known whether these pre-cancerous lesions will lead to
colon cancer, he and other cancer experts do not
believe use of the weight-loss drug is a risk worth
taking." I agree! I would rather find other ways to
lose weight than risk my life taking Alli!

I just started taking this product about 1 week ago and was initially nervous that I got a counterfeit product because I did not have any of those scary side effects. However, I was ingesting under 15 grams of fat per meal, as instructed by the bottle. Then, a few days ago, I ate a sushi roll that was fried in tempura and a side of spicy mayo. Within 2 hours, my stomach started rumbling and I knew I needed a bathroom STAT! (Sorry if im graphic, but people need to know this stuff!) When I went to the bathroom, (and again, I apoligize) there was an oily reddish orange discharge floating. Clearly it was fat from the fried sushi I ate. This made me feel much better because I knew my product was the real deal! The stomach craps from GI upset werent really that bad at all. Later on that night I did have a bout of diarrhea again, with the same oily residue, but it wasnt that bad. The next day, there was MILD discharge when I urinated, for example, I would see some oily spots on the tissue when I wiped. There was mild spotting in my pajama bottoms but nothing too bad. Today, I feel fine. The spotting and oily stools lasted 24 hours and were not uncontrollable at all. Just stay under 15 grams of fat per meal and you'l lbe fine!

This product does what it says, blocks the fat. I have never been over weight in my life till the last year or so. I am curvy girl with a thin waist. I have a but and hips always have. But the last 2 years started to pack it on. I tried other diets, even things like P90x and was strict about it, cut out my carbs and everything. Not a damn pound. if fact keep gaining weight. Eventually i just gave up. I work, i go to school, and i am a wife. I am busy! Finally i went swimming suit shopping and for the first time ever i had to buy a non bikini. so depressing. I have friends that have used it and loved. and finally decided to use it. Love it. one week 6 lbs. eating healthy, for the most part, and light exercise. I have some discharge, but now i just hold it. It is gross but works. It is the only thing that has worked. I am hopeful for the first time in long time to reach my healthy weight again soon. Oh, i got it at the store not here. Navy exchange, bx or px for the other branches.

This is a great product for those looking for a little extra help in the weight-loss department. It didn't work as well for me since my diet is much higher in carbs than fat, and this product is up-front explaining that it will not help in this scenario. So if you eat a diet high in fat, this product may be able to provide that little extra boost; if you eat a diet higher in carbs, this will not help you.

I started taking Alli in January after I went to the doctor and saw how much I weighed.
I don't have the opportunity to work out like I want to since my grandmother has been sick. I have to stay home with her everyday except when my mom is off and I have to do school completely online, so I don't get to get out like I would like to.
Once I started talking Alli, I cut out the foods I ate regularly that were fattening (cheese, 2% milk, beef, etc). I found substitutions for the foods I liked that were not so fattening like fat free/low fat versions of the food. I also enjoy low fat yogurt in place of ice cream, especially the Ben and Jerry's low fat yogurt in grocery stores, I have tried 3-4 flavors and it tastes great. Also, being stuck in the house so much made me eat out of boredom, so every time I went in the kitchen, I thought, "Am I really hungry? Or am I bored?". I have also got into the habit of weighing myself everyday.
As for the price of Alli, it is expensive (especially on my budget) but I found it was worth it. I was so use to just eating fast food, and since I started taking Alli, I have cut down on fast food, and it has saved me a lot of money.
As for how it works, I think it is great. You don't need to worry about the side effects if you follow through with the diet. If you are nervous, just wear a pad or something. If you absolutely cannot avoid eating a fattening meal one day, just don't take the pill.
Since January I have lost about 25lbs. I was a size 12/14 now I am a size 6/8. Since it has gotten warmer, I go swimming every day, and walk and run. (I can actually run much longer without getting winded/tired as fast) I also found out that my blood pressure has improved. I feel much healthier, and more confident. I use to hate wearing tank tops, but now I even feel comfortable wearing a bikini. The best thing for me is when my boyfriend came up behind me and picked me up and said I felt light. :)
I love how I look now, and I can't wait to lose more. I just ordered another bottle, and since my family has seen how it works for me, I have some members that now want to try it to.
I highly recommend it. You can even go to [...] for more stores, faq's, etc. I use to think I could never lose weight, and alli has made it easy for me to maintain a better, healthier lifestyle.
