Like many other reviewers, I too had a Taylor scale that didn't work at all. I honestly didn't know how much I weighed with that thing. Losing motivation to lose weight, I decided to get on Amazon and see what scales they had to offer. The price and great reviews of this scale caught my eye. I read through many reviews and decided on this one. It arrived a week later and it is the real deal. It is so accurate. You can weigh yourself in the morning, eat breakfast, and see the small difference on the scale. It's that accurate. This scale has helped me out so much in the past month. I have already lost 11 pounds :) Don't hesitate to pick up one of these

throw that old dial scale away and treat yourself to something that works. if you are trying to lose weight, keep it in check, or whatever, this is the scale for you, it is a motivator, tells you the exact number so you can work harder to achieve the goal you are looking for.

The only real way to determine if a diet is having any effect is to duplicate the conditions under which you weigh yourself each time. Having had mechanical scales that were prone to "interpretation", I wanted something more reliable. Based upon other Amazon reviewers' comments on this scale, I ordered it and it's fantastic. It's easy to set up, easy to read [there's a really cool blue digital readout that stays around long enough for a, shall we say, visually challenged person like myself to get my daily morning reading], and, it has a nice contemporary look. And it is sensitive enough that our 2 cats have weighed themselves on it with readings that matched their veterinarians weigh-ins. It arrived a few days after I ordered it and well within the projected time for delivery. I highly recommend this product.

My wife and I left for a month's out-of-state vacation without taking along our old Taylor scale, but soon missed being able to keep track of our weights. After reading many of the Amazon buyers' reviews, this seemed like the one we wanted, and at a very reasonable price.
The scale arrived at our vacation place within two days, set up very quickly (just insert the included 4 AAA batteries) and worked immediately. It just does weight---not body fat, water in our tissues, blood pressure or anything else---but it does weight very well. We had noted that our Taylor seemed to register about a pound higher than when we weighed on the expensive balance-beam scales at our doctors' offices, but the EatRight scale is right on.
Just step on it and your weight shows within one second on the large, easy-to read display, to within 2/10 of a pound. We also like the contemporary design which complements our bathroom decor and allows our floor tile to show through the glass base.
The old Taylor scale is in the trash. We're very happy with the EatSmart scale.
